"Oakland Giants Continue to Win - Have Won Six Straight. - Oakland, California. - The Giants, of this city, are playing a fine article of ball, and the fans are also supporting the boys for coming out and rooting for them by the hundreds. The club has won eight out of nine games played, and has caused great enthusiasm among the local fans by defeating the best of the city teams. Most every game was marked by some spectacular feat of the Giants, with fast base running and timely hitting as features. Bullet Meaddows and Lefty Martin are the Giants' mainstays in the box, and each one is mowing down the opposing batters with great regularity. Bullet has two three-hit games and one one-hit game to his credit. The heavy hitting is being done by Chet Bost, the former Occidental player, and Clarke, Martin and Meaddows. Each one is hitting well over .300."
